From Topkapi Palace, the eunuchs ran out between the tiles to protect the princesses of the harem. They imagined them in their golden cages, hiding their misgivings between baths and perfume.

In the Grand Bazaar, the trade of silks, stones and spices marked the pulse of its sellers, for whom the price was a balance, which leaned to one side or the other.
