Through Gadling I discover an article by Richard Harris where he warns us about the consequences that thawing in Greenland can cause in the oceans. 80% of the area is covered by a huge mass of ice that slowly forms different huge glaciers.

In many areas, ice is more like a gruyere cheese than a good solid plate.

While scientists break their heads to try to remedy the ocean increase 600 centimeters -calculation made in case all the ice in Greenland is founded-, we as good ants can help the cause with the known personal actions to reduce consumption . And in turn, travel. Why not?

When the ice melts, it causes splendid natural contrasts creating rivers, waterfalls and lakes where there were none before.

Proof of this are the great photographs that show us in NPR.
