Tomorrow is reviewing the free press in the subway, I read the expected news that Vueling and Clickair have finally reached the expected agreement and announced their future merger. The low cost company will become the third largest in the country and will keep the Vueling logo on its promotions and exterior designs.
However, the interior will have a different color; Iberia shareholders will have 45% of the company's total shares. I smell little competition and, consequently, more paralyzed rates and reduced offers. I would like to be wrong but when competition is reduced, it is what usually happens: on earth and in the heavens.
On the other hand, some of the routes that have not been very successful so far will close as well as the hub that Vueling owns in Paris will most likely disappear.
