View of Monaco from Le Turbie

On the way to Monaco we could choose between the possibility of going on the highway or on the road that follows the coast. We opted for the second option to enjoy the landscape. We find traffic especially when entering each of the towns that the road crosses, something special in August. Of those kilometers of coastline I especially liked the views of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. On the same road you will find parking areas to park and be able to take pictures of the views.

Views of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat

Upon reaching the vicinity of Monaco we found a good traffic jam. However, we had another mission that consisted of contemplating Monaco from above and enjoying little known views of the country.

Just before crossing the border, we turn left to climb a road that left us in a few minutes in the town of La Turbie in France. Before arriving at the main roundabout of the town you will find a detour to the right. Make sure the street is called route de la Tete du Chien. Follow it to the end. You will find soldiers protecting a strange complex at the top of the mountain. However, you can park and walk through the area that is not fenced.

Follow a dirt road that descends and crosses a small tunnel with graffiti and some debris that indicates that this site at night is a yes or yes riding school. Follow the road until the end and before you a cliff of great proportions will open and the country of Monaco at your feet with all its extension.
